What Others are Saying about Cheryl...

I feel the Lord certainly did a mighty work through Cheryl and that the ladies were truly touched.  I have had many good comments given to me as Eastern Area Coordinator about the retreat The Wounded ~ The Healers ~ & The Warriors.

One lady told me; "I could rate that week end at the top of the list."  Praise God!

I came to the retreat with great expectations, as our prayer team had been praying for months that God would move in mighty ways, and that all who attended would truly understand and be able to apply what God would teach us through Cheryl.  We weren't disappointed, and I felt that God revealed Himself in a personal way to me as I faced areas in my life where I had been wounded, and allowed God to heal some broken places.  The healing continues, and I desire that as a Church, we can "develop a way for the wounded to come and sit in community" and experience healing.  Then we will be better equipped to accept God's call to be His warriors and rise up as His women - even if sometimes we need to "do it broken".

Thanks, Cheryl for allowing God to send you to Iowa and impact us for the Kingdom!  I came away encouraged and better equipped!

Cheryl has had a profound impact on my life.  She has a keen ability to partner with me in my battles, pray for me during my time of need, while also warring on my behalf when I just can’t for myself.  Her ability to take her own life experiences and turn them into life lessons for others is truly a gift.  Her discernment and sensitivity to God is refreshing and highly valued.  Cheryl exemplifies the delicate balance of femininity mixed with warrior.  I count it a great privilege that our paths have crossed and that I am honored to join Cheryl on her journey.  For my own journey, I could not ask for a better friend to stand shoulder to shoulder with.

Cheryl Meakins has a desire to preach the word of God in a very passionate yet understandable way.  Her passion overflows from her life experiences and her desire to seek God each day.  Though She was born and raised in a religious home, it was over a period of several years that she learned the very real difference between a religion and a relationship with Jesus.  She uses her gifts as a speaker and writer to communicate her experience along this journey of relationship.  Cheryl has shared these gifts with our congregation through journaling about her experience with fasting on our women ministries blog as well as speaking at women’s events.   At each opportunity to speak she shares from her own personal experiences in a way that is fun, yet vulnerable.  I know you will find her to be a very capable speaker and discover her talks to be relatable and challenging to whatever group of women may be at your event.

I had the pleasure of serving with Cheryl while I coordinated Women's Ministries at our church and she later stepped into my position.  Her ability to cast vision was so remarkable and her gift of writing are truly gifts from the Lord.  I now serve as coordinator of a MOMSnext group and asked Cheryl to be our first speaker and her ability to share and touch people made for a wonderful kick off to our year.  I am excited to see Cheryl branch out in what I know is a true passion of hers and know that any group would be blessed to have her speak.

I have had several opportunities to hear Cheryl speak to various sized groups over the past few years and she has always done a wonderful job. God has placed a clear passion for ministry on her heart and she is striving to be a good steward of that calling. Women Ministries has been at the forefront of her work and efforts in recent years, and she really wants to see women unleashed and empowered for the work of the Kingdom. She is deeply committed to the authority of Scripture, and she seeks to ground all she does in accord with the Word. I think she would be a marvelous addition to your roster.

Cheryl Meakins is a passionate leader who helps challenge and move women toward a closer relationship with Jesus.  I have had the opportunity to serve with Cheryl on our Adult Ministry team for the last two years.  Over that time I have watched her faith in action as she has spoken with conviction on behalf of the women in our church, creatively brainstormed new and effective ministry strategies, surrendered to God’s will and plans for her life, and challenged our team to think through options carefully.  Her faith is revealed as she prays for God’s movement in her life and in our church and as she seeks to build up the Body of Christ by investing in the lives of women of all ages.  Cheryl believes God is moving in our community and she knows the freedom and forgiveness that Jesus has brought into her life through his work on the cross.  I would highly recommend Cheryl to groups looking for someone to raise the banner of the Kingdom of God in all its facets.  She has been used by God and will continue to be.
